TEAC Model C-1 3-Head 3-Motor Dual Capstan Stereo Cassette Deck - 100V - Professionally serviced!

The TEAC Model C-1 is a substantial late-1970s high-performance cassette deck featuring a three-head configuration for off-tape monitoring, three motors and a dual-capstan tape transport

Designed as a serious recording machine, the C-1 also features large analogue VU meters, independently adjustable recording levels and Dolby noise reduction. 

This unit comes with one optional plug in bias card installed!

Condition:

• This is a used unit.
  
  
• This C-1 has been fully serviced. The service included but is not limited to:
  
  
• Deep clean inside and out.
  
  
• Deep clean of the tape mechanism. 
  
  
• Lubricated and greased all moving parts.
  
  
• Installed brand new belts.
  
  
• Installed brand new pinch roller.
  
  
• Installed brand new idler tyres.
  
  
• Demagnetised the heads.
  
  
• Replaced all faulty components. 
  
  
• Thorough test of all functions. 
  
  
• The optional plug in bias card has been calibrated to CrO2. 
  
  
• This unit shows some general wear from use and age, like some rack rash, scuffs, marks, scratches and nicks. There are some larger looking dents on the edges. There are lots of scratches on the top but this would not be noticeable once racked up. Nothing major. Overall it is still a nice piece. Please see photos for further details. 
  
  
• Please be aware, this unit is 100V. This means you MUST connect it to the correct step-down transformer before powering it on.
