Antique Ottoman Turkish edition of Tezkire-i Sâlim, also known as Tezkiretü’ş-Şuarâ, by Mirzazâde Mehmed Emin Sâlim Efendi. Published in Istanbul by İkdam Matbaası under the direction of Ahmed Cevdet, this important literary reference work contains biographies and selections relating to Ottoman poets. Bibliographic references generally date this edition to 1315 AH / 1897, although the outer wrapper appears to show 1314.

Condition: Poor binding condition but usable as a reference copy. The original blue-green paper wrappers are heavily worn, stained, chipped and torn, with substantial losses around the edges and spine. The pages are loose and are no longer bound together. Pages are age-toned with scattered foxing, stains, edge wear and occasional small tears. Despite the detached state, the book appears complete based on the page sequence shown, but it has not been individually collated page by page. Text remains generally clear and readable. Please review all photos carefully.
