Leica MZFLIII Fluorescence Stereo Microscope System with EBQ 100

Overview

This is a complete Leica MZFLIII Fluorescence Stereo Microscope system.

Although I am not a microscopy specialist, I have carefully tested the optical performance and the major functions of the system.

Condition & Functional Test

Optical System

  • High-magnification imaging tests were performed using coins and banknotes, confirming excellent resolution and contrast capable of clearly resolving fine microprinting.
  • The fluorescence filter turret changes smoothly and operates correctly.
  • Fluorescence illumination and fluorescence response of a sample were confirmed in a dark environment.
  • The included hand controller smoothly adjusts the distance between the microscope head and the stage.

EBQ 100 Light Source

  • No error indicators.
  • The mercury lamp ignites normally and provides stable illumination during testing.

Cosmetic Condition

The microscope shows normal signs of use.

Please note that the plastic cover located in the center of the microscope body has a vertical crack and a small missing section caused by age.

This cosmetic damage does not appear to have affected the imaging performance during testing.

  • The operating hours of the EBQ 100 mercury lamp are unknown.

  • Important: The original AC power adapter is included but does not supply power. During testing, the microscope was powered using an external regulated DC power supply. Therefore, the included AC adapter should be considered non-working.
