Built around a massive skull assembled from punk, metal, comic-book, tattoo, motorcycle, and underground-culture imagery, the design translates Venom’s signature textile language into a vivid multicolor print on deep black paper.
The skull is divided into jagged, quilt-like sections filled with skeletal hands, comic monsters, band imagery, vinyl records, lightning bolts, and other fragments of beautifully organized visual chaos. Bright yellow outlines and electric purple accents tie the collage together, giving the piece the look of a punk-rock battle vest that somehow wandered into a quilting studio and achieved enlightenment.
This example is an unnumbered Artist Display Proof, identified by the handwritten “AP” marking in the lower-right corner. Curly Deluxe states that these proofs were not numbered and were not included in the regular limited-edition series. The print measures 18 × 24 inches and was printed in Washington State.

Condition: Very Good. The artwork and printed surface present beautifully, with strong color and no major image-area damage. There is a visible ding and small crease at the lower-right corner near the AP marking. This flaw is shown clearly in the photographs and should disappear beneath a conventional mat or frame rebate. A few extremely small surface specks may also be visible against the unforgiving black paper under direct light. The print has never been framed and has been stored flat.

About the Artist: Ben Venom operates where traditional quilting collides headfirst with heavy metal, punk rock, tattoo imagery, skate culture, and motorcycle iconography. His larger textile works are commonly assembled from recycled clothing and band shirts, transforming aggressive counterculture imagery into carefully constructed domestic objects. In other words, Grandma’s quilting circle got into Motörhead and things escalated beautifully. His work has been described as combining menacing underground imagery with the comfort and familiarity of traditional craft.

The skull is composed of fractured cultural artifacts, including records, skeletons, comic imagery, punk graphics, and bits of visual noise that feel scavenged from decades of music and underground art.
