Offered for sale is an antique early 19th-century lady’s travelling companion or sewing etui, believed to date from around 1830. Housed in its original decorative embossed fitted case, this elegant companion retains its complete original suite of accessories, including a silver scent bottle, silver thimble, silver needle case, engraved embroidery scissors, tweezers, bodkin, decorative needle threader, original writing tablet and leather tool wallet. The silver components have been tested, although no hallmarks are present.

The case remains in very good antique condition for its age, displaying the expected signs of nearly 200 years of careful use. The fitted interior is exceptionally well preserved, and the complete original contents make this a particularly desirable and highly collectable example of an early lady’s travelling companion.
