This auction is for a used Vintage Mauser Model 98 Bolt Action Rifle Stripped Bolt Shroud

No marking to indicate the maker - just a number 454

Used vintage Bolt Shroud - I have not cleaned it up - Mauser Model 98 pattern rifle. It houses the firing pin assembly, mainspring, and safety mechanism at the rear of the bolt action - The faint stamp visible near the shoulder is a partial serial number or military proof mark, used for part matching during arsenal production or reassembly - take a good look at the condition.
