This is a rare vintage Republic of Western Canada foam-front mesh trucker hat featuring the iconic Western Canada map, Union Jack, wheat, and oil derrick graphic. Made in Korea with an adjustable snapback closure, this is an authentic period piece from the era of the Western Canadian separatist movement in the 1980s.
This hat was acquired directly from the original owner who purchased it during, and while attending, the Western Canadian separatist movement. It has remained in storage, in their possession, until now and was entrusted to me for sale. While I cannot independently verify the owner’s account, he is a close family friend, so this hat is presented exactly as it was shared with me.
Remarkably, the hat has never been worn. The foam remains intact, the colours are vibrant, the mesh is clean, and the snapback shows virtually no signs of use. Original hat tag is still attached and shown in photos.
Pieces of Western Canadian political memorabilia from this period are seldom encountered, particularly in such well-preserved condition.
Whether you’re a collector of Canadian political history, vintage Canadiana, or rare trucker hats, this is an exceptional opportunity to own a scarce and conversation-worthy piece!
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
Thanks for taking a look at this incredible piece from Western Canadian History!
