Vintage Al Mar SERE Model 3003B fixed-blade knife, manufactured in Seki, Japan.
The 3003B is the largest fixed-blade model in the classic SERE series. This example has the uncommon black neoprene handle with molded grip grooves, brass-colored medallions, a full tang, and a large integral metal guard.
It is a later-production variation distinguished by the curved bevel line of the false edge near the blade tip. The guard is marked with the De Oppresso Liber insignia, while the blade carries the Al Mar logo, red chop mark, and SEKI-JAPAN marking.
The knife appears to have been stored unused and retains its factory edge. There is no visible evidence of sharpening or significant blade loss. The blade shows a few very light surface marks that are visible mainly under strong light and at certain angles.
The metal guard and bolster area show light storage scratches and rubbing, particularly along the raised edges. The neoprene handle remains in very good condition, with no visible cracks, splits, shrinkage, or major damage. The handle medallions and lanyard opening are intact.
