This is a rare and complete 1992 centenary edition portfolio of “Jean Lurçat – La célébration de la vie”, produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jean Lurçat (1892–1966). Lurçat was a renowned French painter and tapestry designer who helped revive the art of contemporary tapestry in the 20th century.

The portfolio contains a total of 12 vivid colour plates reproducing some of Lurçat’s most celebrated tapestry designs. Each plate is printed on high-quality art paper and accompanied by a translucent poem sheet printed on fine glacine (tracing-type) paper.
