This is designed for kids but it takes great photos so they won't be disappointed with their first camera. But the thing they will really love is to be able to print out their photo (in black & white) right from the camera, tear it off, and give it to a friend.

The printer uses rolls of the same thermal paper used in till receipts. It's very cheap and readily available but 4 unused rolls of paper are included with this camera (and another half a roll is loaded in the camera, ready to go).

Also included is a 4 Gb microSD card which is big enough to hold very many photos. Photos (in glorious colour, jpeg format) can be downloaded to a computer using the included microUSB cable. This cable also charges the built-in battery, which lasts for ages anyway. The microSD card and microUSB covers are deliberately designed to be awkward to remove (presumably to stop little fingers messing with them).

Both example photos have been "photoshopped" but show you what can be achieved with this camera (because you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, as they say).
