Here we have a gorgeous and sharply serrated, large partial Megalodon tooth fossil from the Famous Lee Creek Phosphate mine near Aurora, North Carolina. Out of the Yorktown Formation that is primarily Pliocene in age not Miocene like the Pungo River Formation. This mine has been closed to collecting for years so the teeth from here are hard to come by and only circulate out of old collections. The coloration is beautiful and it has sharp serrations, teeth from this site are among the most quality specimens found in America. This tooth is all natural with no repairs nor restoration. Making it a great quality partial specimen from a tooth if complete would be several hundreds to even a thousand more expensive from this famous mine locatility to add to your fossil display!
