Offered is a piece of Hunsruck Slate matrix approx. 11cm X 8cm  with a good sized ( 5cm +) complete and well preserved, pyritised example of the classic Phacopid Chotocops ferdinandi from the Lower Devonian; Emsian of Bundenbach, Germany.

Laterally compressed and semi-prone this fully articulated displayable example shows the left eye to have retained some lenses intact. The whole of the right pleuron, including the pygidium, is evident too on the reverse of the matrix.

In all this is a good sized and very displayable example of a classic trilobite species from Bundenbach, at an affordable price............
