This substantial piece weighs 185.55 grams and measures approximately 12.5 inches long. The handle is engraved with an armorial crest featuring a rooster (cockerel) above the motto "Cavendo Tutus" ("Safe Through Caution"), associated with the Cavendish family and possibly a related family branch or marriage alliance.

The scoop retains an attractive antique patina and has not been aggressively polished. Hallmarks are crisp and clearly visible, including the RH maker's mark for Robert Hennell II.
