This is a beautiful, highly collectible GBD International estate pipe in the rare 9669 Sitter shape; a massive "Collector" sized pipe featuring a gorgeous smooth finish, diamond-shaped shank, and a striking, factory-original hand-carved black rim. The stem is a clear vintage Perspex acrylic mouthpiece, featuring the highly coveted inlaid brass GBD rondelle, proving its premium pre-1981 English manufacture. The pipe sits perfectly flat on its base, making it an excellent desk pipe. The briar bowl is clean with no fills or heavy rim charring. The stamping, "GBD International London Made Collector" is crisp and fully legible on the left shank, with "LONDON, ENGLAND 9669" clear on the right. The clear Perspex stem is in great shape with minor internal tobacco stain, which is barely visible off-camera. No bite marks or chatter. Solid pipe!
