Underground Solidarity Stamps Were Produced To Raise Funds, Promote Democratic Ideals, Preserve Polish National Identity, And Demonstrate Peaceful Resistance To Communist Rule.

The Design Reproduces The Banner Of The Bydgoszcz Farmers’ Solidarity Union In Orange, Red, Green, Black, And Silver-Gray, Featuring A Traditional Polish Scytheman Wearing A Confederation Cap And Carrying A Scythe. The Historic Motto Bronią Y Żywią Means They Defend And Feed, Reflecting The Traditional Role Of Polish Farmers As Both Providers Of Food And Defenders Of Their Homeland.
