This piece was handed down to me and depicts a classic scene from Greek mythology, showcasing the deities Artemis and Apollo on a traditional hunt.  The artwork mimics the iconic back figure pottery styles of ancient Greece, rendered beautifully on a natural woven papyrus background.

- Authentic textured papyrus paper with organic fibres.

- Classical Greek hunting motif with male archer, seated female under a laurel tree and a hunting hound.

- Framed in a custom wooden frame with dark matting and a gold Greek Key decorative border.

It is in very good pre owned condition.  Slight staining is visible, but the painting and papyrus has been kept under glass and is still colourful and crisp.  No cracks in the glass.

Framing shows normal signs of age with scratching and some blemishes.
