This is a framed pay document for a soldier from the 94th New York Vols in 1862. It is 100% original period piece and not a modern made copy. The soldier Philo Green is listed on the Roster of the 94th NY with not much information other that he later served in Company M 24th Cavalry. He enlisted in the 24th Cav in January 1864 and fought in the Wilderness, Spotsylvania and Cold Harbor where they suffered heavy casualties.
