There are people who spend their lives showing up for others without ever asking for anything in return. My brother, Frank, is one of those people.

For years, Frank has fought an unimaginable battle against mouth cancer. He’s endured surgery after surgery, countless treatments, and more obstacles than most people could ever imagine. Through it all, he has remained one of the strongest, most selfless people we know. If you know Frank, you know he would never ask for help. In fact, he’d probably rather carry the burden himself than let anyone know he needs it.

But this time, we’re asking on his behalf.

Frank is preparing for the biggest surgery of his life. It will involve an extensive operation, more than a week in the hospital, major reconstruction of his mouth and jaw, and many months of recovery. During that time, he will be unable to work, and the financial pressures that come with everyday life don’t stop simply because you’re fighting for your health.

We know that medical bills are only part of the burden. Lost income, travel, meals, household expenses, and the day-to-day costs of life quickly add up. We would love to come together as a family, as friends, and as a community to help lift some of that weight from Frank and Robyn so they can focus on what truly matters—his healing.

If you’ve ever been to one of Frank’s legendary barbecues, you know he loves feeding people. If you’ve participated in the annual WRAT food drive, you’ve likely seen him volunteering his time and energy. He’s the guy who quietly shows up when someone needs a hand, never expecting recognition and never asking for anything in return.

Now it’s our turn to show up for him.

Let’s rally around Frank the same way he has rallied around so many others. Let’s remind him that he isn’t fighting this battle alone.

Guide every surgeon, every physician, every nurse, and every member of the medical team with wisdom, steady hands, and clear minds. Strengthen Robyn and their entire family as they walk beside him through the days ahead. Give them comfort when they’re weary, hope when they’re anxious, and faith that You are with them every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for complete healing. We pray that this surgery is successful, that recovery is smooth, and that Frank comes through this chapter stronger than when he entered it. May this be another testimony of Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your healing power.

Your will be done.
