Vintage Indian hand-painted bone inlay lidded jar with royal procession.
Style & Artwork: The exterior displays a continuous 360-degree hand-painted scene depicting a royal Indian procession. Figures include a nobleman/maharaja seated in a howdah atop a decorated elephant, riders on horseback, and attendants carrying weapons, spears, and royal insignias against a backdrop of traditional palace architecture (fortress walls, jharokhas, and domed pavilions).
Construction & Material: The piece is made of inlaid faux-ivory (camel bone or resin/celluloid tiles) fitted together over a solid base, giving it a mosaic-like surface.
Lid & Accents: The domed lid features scalloped, layered tiers with delicate floral and leaf scrollwork, topped with a yellow finial handle.
Palette: Painted using vibrant tones of turquoise blue, muted yellows, warm reds, greens, and gold accents. Great preowned condition. Please refer to photos for measurements. Feel free to message with any questions. If you have any questions or would like more photos, please send us a message!
