The Casino, used by numerous renowned artists, is considered a flagship model of Epiphone electric guitars. While it shares similar specifications with the ES-330 released by Gibson in 1959, making it Epiphone's version of the 330, it boasts unique design elements such as the headstock shape, inlays, and the pickguard engraved with the "e" logo.
The body is constructed from laminated maple, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. This particular instrument is a 1967 model, the last to feature a 16-fret joint.
The neck is narrow, with a nut width of approximately 40mm, giving it a slightly thin feel, but with a comfortable, rounded shape that provides a pleasant fit. It features two original P-90 pickups.
Thanks to its full-hollow construction, it produces a rich acoustic resonance, quick attack, and a pleasant looseness. The glossy yet transparent sound is a wonderful characteristic of a vintage Casino.
