Fender Custom Shop J Signature Precision Bass Heavy Relic Black Gold Masterbuilt

This is an emergency shipment of a Masterbuilt Precision Bass, a model that perfectly replicates the specifications and grade of the one used by J (LUNA SEA), who collected basses made by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Greg Fessler. Completed in May 2019, this bass has become J's main instrument for almost all of his stage performances and recordings.

J, a Harley lover, requested a unique black-gold color inspired by a 1970s vintage helmet, and Greg applied the same relic finish as the original model. It features a reverse headstock.

The combination of a rigid one-piece maple neck, lightweight ash body, and hand-wound pickups with increased winding for a hotter tuning, along with a 1.65-inch nut width for practicality as a main instrument for live performances, produces the rich midrange that J seeks. Basic maintenance and cleaning have been completed, so it is in ready-to-play condition!

Exterior condition: Relic finish. Truss rod has plenty of adjustment range.
