Round wooden black lacquer box depicting woman riding on the back of a large golden firebird / sun bird.  Three birds flying together.

Paper insert indicating the box originated from the Ivanovo region; traditional style, school of Palekh.

Measures 2 1/2" across.

Minor wear as shown in photos.
