Original Louise Salinger School of Dress Designing / Academy of Fashion Student Portfolio

This is an exceptional mid-century fashion education portfolio that appears to have been used by an actual Louise Salinger student. Based on handwritten notes within the binder, it appears to date to April 1954.

Unlike standard instructional books, this portfolio contains extensive hands-on student work, including original sewn stitch samples, miniature garment construction exercises, collars, bodices, skirts, pattern drafting lessons, measurement charts, and typed instructional coursework.

From my research, I have been unable to locate another portfolio quite like this. While I cannot guarantee its rarity, it appears to be an authentic student training binder rather than a mass-produced sewing manual.
