Set of five antique English side or dessert plates made by Wedgwood & Co. in the elegant “Phoebe” pattern.

The plates feature a rich green border with a subtle floral design, three colourful floral cartouches, ornate gilt decoration and scalloped edges.

Each plate is marked on the underside:
SEMI ROYAL PORCELAIN
WEDGWOOD & CO
ENGLAND
PHOEBE

The set dates approximately to the late 19th or early 20th century, circa 1891–1906.

Please note that Wedgwood & Co. was a separate English pottery manufacturer and should not be confused with Josiah Wedgwood & Sons.
