This card is one of two designs that were sent by the White House as a farewell message from President and Mrs. Reagan as they prepared to leave the White House in January, 1989. The card is in mint condition and is unfolded.

Printed above the facsimile signatures of Ronald and Nancy Reagan are the words, “Our hearifelt thanks for your friendship and support. The last four years have given us many reasons to celebrate, but still more to hope.

Our task now is not simply to reshape policies and reform programs, but to create a better nation and maintain a just peace throughout the world. With your help and prayers, we can reach our goals and demonstrate that America's best days are yet to come.

God bless you — and God bless America.”

The card comes from the estate of a longtime worker on social events at the White House.
