Neuritis and Neuralgia is a landmark medical textbook written by the prominent London neurologist Dr. Wilfred Harris and published by Oxford University Press in 1926. The book is widely celebrated in medical history for standardizing the clinical definitions of nerve pain and offering some of the earliest, most precise descriptions of major neurological disorders. This book also contains a foundational chapter titled "Migraine and Allied Neuralgias". In it, Harris provided the first recorded descriptions of cluster headaches in English medical literature, calling the condition "migrainous neuralgia" or "periodic migrainous neuralgia".
