THE DOWEL KEY IS NOT THERE - IF YOU PULL THE SPINDLE - REMOVE THE BEARINGS, YOU CAN PUSH OUT THE DOWEL STUB AND PUSH IN A NEW DOWEL. IT'S IS NOT HARD IF YOU DO THIS KIND OF WORK  BUT NOT FUN EITHER AND WILL TAKE 1-2 HOURS. ALSO PAINT IS MOSTLY NOT THERE. 

You don't need the key to use it - you just have hold the collet when you insert it. Once you close the collet, the friction prevents the collet from rotating with small diameter parts. 

The bearings were cleaned - blown out, and regreased with Kluber. They were solidly clamped together. Also, I see people on the internet using hammers to seat bearings. You never want to do that in a way that transfers a hammer blow from one race through the balls to the other race. It is also easy to get misaligned and stuck. An inexpensive  small arbor press works good enough and keeps everything in line.

  1. 30 day return for DOA. Parts must be in same condition as was sent to qualify for a refund. You must call for an RMA number prior to returning any item.
