Set in 19th-century North America, players take on the roles of wealthy investors supporting the continent’s developing railway companies. Purchase company shares, expand railway networks into new cities, and carefully manage your investments to earn the highest profit.

Each railway company is controlled by the player who owns the most shares in that company. However, expanding a company can also increase the value of shares held by your opponents. Players must decide when to invest, which companies to support, and how far to develop each railway network.

North American Railways combines economic strategy, stock investment, route development, and direct player interaction in a compact card-driven board game.
