For sale is my 1991 BMW Cabriolet, a genuine Left Hand Drive car with a very interesting and well-documented history.

This car was originally supplied new by BMW Park Lane in London as a special Left Hand Drive specification. The first owner was living in the UK at the time but working regularly in Brussels, which is why the car was ordered in LHD from new.

The first owner kept the car from 1991 until 2002, when it was sold with an engine issue. The next owner, from whom I purchased the car, replaced the engine, and that replacement engine remains in the car today. He owned the car from around 2002 until 2024.

During his ownership, the car spent a large part of its life in Spain, in the Alicante area, where he had an apartment. The car was used only when he visited Spain a few times a year and was kept stored in an underground garage when not in use. This has helped preserve the car extremely well. There are various Spanish documents, local MOT/test certificates, invoices and paperwork from the period when the car was registered and used abroad.

A few years before I bought it, the previous owner brought the car back to the UK. He eventually sold it due to health reasons, and I purchased it in 2024.

When I bought the car, it was already in very good condition. It had some minor stone chips and cosmetic marks, mainly around the bonnet area, but nothing serious. Importantly, the car was solid, with no rust issues and no welding required.

During my ownership, I have carried out a sympathetic cosmetic refresh to bring the car up to a very high standard while keeping it original. The upper body paintwork has been refreshed, and the black exterior plastics, bumpers and trims have also been restored/refreshed so that the car presents beautifully while still retaining its original character.

The car now looks fantastic. The paintwork is fresh, clean and glossy, and the overall condition is excellent.

The underside is also in very good original condition. It has not been undersealed or covered up to hide anything. There may be some very light surface corrosion in places, as expected on a car of this age, but everything is honest, visible and original. There has been no welding, no patching, and nothing has been disguised. Any inspection is welcome.

The car has been garaged throughout my ownership and serviced every year, despite covering very few miles. It has always been looked after properly and maintained with care.

This is a very attractive, genuine and well-preserved classic BMW Cabriolet with an unusual and interesting background. Being a factory-supplied LHD example from BMW Park Lane makes it a particularly rare and appealing car, especially for anyone looking to use it in the UK or Europe.
