Specifications
Although the A3500 is classified as a stereo power amplifier, it is equipped with rear-panel input attenuators, allowing it to be used as a standalone amplifier without a separate preamplifier in some setups.
Please note that it does not include a phono equalizer (phono stage).
Tube Configuration
The amplifier is fitted with Electro-Harmonix EL34 output tubes (Made in Russia).
The 6AQ8 tubes are manufactured by Matsushita (Panasonic). Luxman was well known for its use of these tubes, and they continued to use them in many later products.
Modifications & Maintenance
Important
Tube rolling (changing vacuum tubes) is entirely at the buyer's own risk.
The bias adjustment method on the A3500 is somewhat unique. If you plan to experiment with different output tubes, this amplifier is best suited for buyers who are familiar with vacuum tube amplifier maintenance and bias adjustment.
