Vintage Tsuge Special Hawk TS-55
ATS-34 Steel – Custom Made in Seki, Japan

A large and distinctive Japanese survival knife designed by Hisayoshi Tsuge.

The Special Hawk was one of the higher-grade models in the Tsuge knife line and features an ATS-34 stainless-steel blade.

Condition:

This is a used knife.

The edge does not appear to have been resharpened, but it shows light evidence of use.

There are no major chips or heavy damage visible along the cutting edge.

The blade has scratches running parallel to the edge, along with additional surface marks from use.

Several more noticeable scratches are present toward the tip, as shown in the close-up photographs.

A few very small rust spots or dark oxidation marks are visible on the blade.

The black G-10 scales remain in good condition.

The stacked leather-washer portion of the handle shows surface wear and dryness but remains solid.

The metal pommel and fittings have scratches, tarnish and age-related discoloration.

The leather sheath has scratches, edge wear and wear to the retaining strap.

The fitted wooden case has storage wear and marks to the interior lining.

The outer paper box has edge wear, creasing and surface wear.
