A striking pair of signed Jewelcraft heraldic cufflink components featuring cast silver-tone fronts with a raised lion, sword and scrolling medieval-style detail. The design has a bold mid-century modern presence, blending formal men’s jewellery with the historical revival styling that was popular during the 1950s and 1960s.
The lion is traditionally associated with courage, strength, nobility and protection, while the sword represents honour, justice and defence. Together, they create the look of a miniature heraldic crest.
Jewelcraft was a costume jewellery name associated with Coro and was widely used on pieces made for the British market. Both pieces are signed Jewelcraft on the reverse.
These are believed to be the decorative fronts from a pair of chain-link cufflinks. The original connecting chains and reverse sections are no longer present, and the faux pearls require replacement. They are therefore being sold as incomplete components for restoration, collecting or creative reuse.
Their solid decorative faces make them ideal for repurposing into statement earrings, brooches, pendants, dress clips, hat pins, shoe clips or other jewellery projects. They could also be restored as cufflinks by adding suitable chains, backs and replacement faux pearls.
Each piece measures 2.7 cm in diameter (1.06 inches).
Please view all photos carefully as they form part of the description.
