This large folio engraving features Piranesi’s dramatic architectural composition incorporating Roman ruins, monumental stonework, sculptural figures, and the title cartouche. The plate bears the engraved inscription “Piranesi Arch. inv. e scolp.”
Printed on laid paper with visible plate mark. A genuine period impression from one of the most influential archaeological and architectural publications of the 18th century.
