Collings D2HT Traditional Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar

An exceptional Collings dreadnought from 2022 with vintage-inspired tone, premium materials, and modern precision. Clean, powerful, Great dynamic range – loud, rich, balanced and punchy.

Solid Sitka Spruce top, solid East Indian rosewood back and sides.

Excellent condition overall but a couple of minor dings at the end of the headstock (see pics) and two (hard to spot) hairline cracks in the lacquer on the top, approx12cm and 16cm confined to the lacquer only, purely cosmetic, but price reduced accordingly.

Collings say - Our Traditional Series or “T” guitars represent an exciting vintage-inspired tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound, designed and crafted to showcase the most desirable characteristics present in coveted pre-war instruments. Bracing and tone woods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection.

Our Traditional series instruments offer a slightly looser, more “broken in” feel and tone, featuring a rounder high end and fuller low midrange, along with our Traditional aesthetic appointments, such as gold MOP inlays and custom wood purflings and rosette.  Traditional models also feature an ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer body finish, abbreviated soundboard graft (tongue brace), and a unique neck construction designed to complement the looser feel and voicing, along with our Traditional neck carve.
