This specific style of pump was a standard tool included in the original factory tool kits for iconic British classic cars, most notably for Jaguar (such as the XK120) and classic MG models (like the P, J, and F types).

The Foot Base: The cast iron stirrup at the top of the photo features the distinct embossed "SHELLEY" brand name. 
It acts as the footrest to stabilize the pump on the ground while inflating.

Missing Components: 

The long steel rod extending out is the internal piston rod. It is currently missing its flexible rubber pressure hose, brass nozzle connector.  **** Please note since listing item we have found a brass ended screw on hose connector not sure if its of this exact pump buy I will send it all together.
