Charming, traditionally made lidded pot in the shape of a pineapple, the symbol of friendship
Made entirely by hand from local clay in the Michoacan area of Mexico, and now highly sought after
This piece has a glossy, two colour glaze of orange and green
Approximately 16cm tall
As is common, piece has lost part of one leaf and the very tip of another. The base has no damage
Some areas have not been covered by glaze revealing the rich terracotta colour underneath
