This is an official U.S. Capitol flag kit, featuring a certificate of authenticity certifying it was flown on July 17, 2003, for Representative Peter Hoekstra. The kit includes the nylon flag, a signed certificate from the Architect of the Capitol, and an envelope, all packaged in a cardboard box.
The flag was run up the flagpole at the formal request of Representative Peter Hoekstra (Pete Hoekstra), who served as the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 2nd congressional district from 1993 to 2011.
The flag shows some yellowing due to age and storage, please see photos. Gives the flag a rustic and aged look.
