SG 317  2/6d Dark Purple M50 (3) in very fine and fresh very, very lightly mounted mint condition. You will likely think I have messed up here and downgraded a Post Office fresh unmounted stamp so look very closely again.

Interesting that this stamp arrived, and is being offered with, the rather dubious benefit of accompanying David Brandon certificate where no fewer than 3 eminent philatelists have signed off as a non existent and otherwise incorrect shade. SG 317 is listed by others, myself included, as Dark Purple and NOT Deep Purple who were of course a Rock Band and not a stamp shade!


Normally I will throw such certificates in the bin but time to highlight just how random and erratic these certificates can be.
