Keiraku Ito Kyoto Red Raku Tea Bowl Matcha Bowl Chawan w/box

Description

Thank you for viewing this item.

This is an elegant red Raku tea bowl made by Ito Keiraku, a master craftsman of the Katsura Kiln.

I am selling it as I am downsizing my collection, hoping it will go to someone who will cherish it.

The graceful and warm orange surface is beautifully contrasted with the strong and bold black speckles (scenery) reminiscent of the feathers of a bird of prey.

The traditional spatula marks are very impressive, and the texture that fits comfortably in the hand conveys the warmth of a handcrafted piece, meticulously finished by an artisan.

When tea is prepared, the green matcha stands out dramatically against the red Raku and black speckles. From formal tea ceremonies to everyday, relaxing tea time, it instantly elevates the atmosphere.

[Condition]

It has been carefully stored and unused. There are no noticeable scratches, cracks, or chips, and it is in excellent condition. The original box (with string) is also in very good condition.

【Size (approx.)】

Recommended not only for tea ceremonies, but also for those just starting out with tea, and for collectors of authentic Kyoto ware/Raku ware.
