A wonderful vintage Sheaffer Fineline fountain pen manufactured by W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. (Aust.) Pty. Ltd., Australia.
Dating to approximately 1951–1955, this attractive mid-century fountain pen features a black resin barrel, brushed stainless steel cap and a Fineline stainless steel nib. Measuring approximately 13.2 cm when capped (12 cm uncapped), it is a fine example of Sheaffer's early Australian production.
This pen was acquired directly from its original owner, now in his 90s, who carefully preserved it throughout its life. It has been tested and writes smoothly.

This pen retains its original side lever. It was acquired from the original owner in its present condition and has not been dismantled or restored by me.
The pen has been tested and writes smoothly. As I am not a pen restorer, I cannot confirm whether the internal filling system remains in its original configuration or has been modified during its lifetime. Buyers are encouraged to examine the photographs and satisfy themselves regarding the filling system if originality is important to them.
Presented in excellent vintage condition, this pen has clearly been well cared for over many decades. The barrel and cap display only light signs of careful use consistent with age, while the manufacturer's imprint remains clear and well defined.
