Original handmade booklet containing the cut out story "Mr. H. or, Beware of a Bad Name" by John Inman. Appears the story was printed in the September 27, 1834 issue of the Columbian Lady's and Gentlemen's Magazine. Handwritten title to front cover. A few annotations to text, possibly from the author himself. Looks like a mockup of the story for standalone publication, but cannot guarantee this. Housed in original beige heavy paper boards. Inman was an influential editor at several New York firms in the 1830's and 1840's. His work as an editor included working with Edgar Allan Poe and Walt Whitman.

Light wear to edges and a few smudges.
