Reverse Action Mechanism - it rests at your lowest gear, the biggest sprocket.
Part of Shimano's last 9s 27 speed XTR parent group - M970/M975
This one was the last of the 4 Reverse Action XTR Rear mechs that Shimano produced. (M951,M953,M960,M970)
It's pre used with a few very minor cosmetic imperfections from its previous fit up and usage. There was a little scratch on the cable anchoring lug, and one on the top of the B-spring housing. Apart from those it's in really good condition, the front/name plate is virtually unmarked. (Please check out the photos)
The mech has been pro cleaned, detailed, and fully A-serviced
There's no lateral play in any of the paralellagram's four pivot points, the cage is straight true, angular alignment is good. There were no signs of previous water ingress into either of the spring's housing's,neither of the torsion springs were laminated or fatigued in any way. All of the (interface) heads, threads and fittings are undamaged and are in a good usable condition. Both bearing cartridges in each of the OEM pulleys (jockey wheels) rotate freely and smoothly.
