It does work with  some battery coaxing, does its figure-8 run, and at least 1 each of front & rear cornering lights flash. I'll note that no abrasive was used on the batty contacts, just a light rub with contact cleaner to get that far.

The only notable defect is the missing back hatch, easy to fab a fair replacement, and either way it's an excellent display piece.
