This traditional Navy enlisted sailor cap is constructed of white fabric with a quilted brim and six-panel crown. The cap retains its original shape and displays well.
The interior features the original reinforcement tapes and a small remnant of the original size tag sewn into the crown-to-brim seam. The original size information is no longer legible. The hat measures approximately 22½ inches in inside circumference.
Based on its construction details—including the interior reinforcement pattern, brim stitching, and seam-inserted size tag remnant—this appears to be a later-production U.S. Navy issue Dixie Cup rather than an earlier WWII-era example.
