An antique French (Edme Samson, maybe) or English Bilston enamel snuff/trinket box. The box is approximately 1.25 inches tall and approximately 2.25 inches wide. The metal mount is intact (including the hinge) - it just needs to be reattached to the base/box. There are some white "flecks" in the background of the cover - I think they may be intentional to give the appearance of texture (you can't feel them), and there are some tiny nibbles to the blue enamel on the box edge of the box.
