Selling this unbranded Les Paul style electric guitar, featuring a classic black glossy finish with cream binding/trims and the traditional Les Paul look.
The guitar has:
Two humbucker pickups
Classic 2 volume / 2 tone control layout
3-way pickup selector switch
Tune-o-matic style bridge and stop tailpiece
Les Paul style body and design
I bought this guitar second hand, and from what I can see, some of the hardware originally had a gold finish, but this has faded over time and now looks more chrome/silver in appearance.
The guitar has some branded parts fitted, although I cannot confirm whether they are genuine. The tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece are branded Gotoh, and the tuners are branded Epiphone. These are relatively affordable parts, so please consider this when viewing the listing.
The guitar is in great overall condition for its age, with some marks and scratches from previous use. Please check the photos carefully as they form part of the description.
Please note:
The guitar is missing the pickguard. The humbucker pickup rings/frames are cracked/broken. The pickups appear to be slightly wider than the rings, which I believe may have caused the damage. This does not affect the guitar's playability or performance.
Replacing the pickup rings should be a straightforward fix for someone wanting to do a small project, although some adjustment or new mounting holes may be needed depending on the replacement rings used.
This guitar is quite heavy compared to many other electric guitars. It feels perfectly comfortable to play while sitting down, but it is noticeably heavier to lift or hold for longer periods, so please keep this in mind if you are specifically looking for a lightweight guitar.
I have given the guitar a basic setup and it is playing well. Everything works as it should, and it comes fitted with a new set of strings, so it is ready to play straight away.
This would make a great affordable Les Paul style guitar for a beginner, as a backup instrument, or for someone who enjoys upgrading and modifying guitars.
Please feel free to ask any questions or request any additional photos or information and I’ll do my best to help.
