This listing is for an antique doll recently purchased from a local toy auction. There was a note taped to her belly that says "She was given to Mary Kirchoff Hendrickson in 1961 by Aunt Gertie Muggelberg. It was Aunt Gertie's doll when she was a little girl." The original owner was Gertrude Kirchoff Muggelberg (1896-1984) who was born and died in Clarence, NY.
She is a Kammer & Reinhardt Halbig doll marked #50 with her original ball jointed composition body. Her socket style bisque head has paperweight blue glass sleep eyes and she has an open mouth with small teeth. Her ears are pierced and she has her original human hair wig.
Her dress is pink cotton with lace trim and she has matching panties, pink striped socks, black oilcloth shoes and a straw hat.
She stands approx. 19" tall. She is marked "Halbig K Star R Germany 50 " on the back of her head.
Condition: Her head is in good condition but there is damage from the wig glue. There are cracks and damage on the composition, especially on her legs. Her original wig is in poor condition. Her clothing is stained and torn. She is missing a buckle on her shoe.
