Vintage Parker 65 Consort Insignia Fountain Pen - 1/5 12ct R. Gold

Scarce Parker fountain pen manufactured for a short time at the start of the 1970s.  The pen which featured a grid pattern to the cap and barrel had twice the normal thickness of rolled gold.

FinishRolled gold featuring a grid pattern to the cap and barrel.  Pale greyish plastic jewel at top of cap and base of barrel.

Cap/Barrel imprint:   'Parker, 1/5 12ct R. Gold, Made in England' around band at base of the cap.

Nib: 14k gold.  Nib size is Medium and is marked 'Parker, 14k 585'.

Refill: Parker press-bar filler inside pen.

Length of pen:  Approx. 5 3/8 inches [about 138 mm].

Condition Very good used condition.  No major issues but looking closely, the pen is slightly scuffed to left of the clip with possibly some very minor associated indentations.   Also, again looking closely, it is possible to see some minor scratches and tiny indentations at the base of the barrel - possibly from tooth marks.  I have  tried to capture both these issues in photos 10 and 11 above.  The nib is in excellent condition and the pen is in full working order and writes very well with a smooth medium line.
Supplied boxed as shown.  [Instruction leaflet and one vintage Parker ink cartridge in base of box]
