A beautiful and highly collectible Royal Doulton “Margery” figurine, expertly designed by Leslie Harradine and produced between 1930 and 1949. Standing an impressive 27cm tall, this is an unusually large example that perfectly showcases Royal Doulton’s exceptional craftsmanship from the early 20th century.
Margery is elegantly portrayed in a graceful pose, she wears a striking deep crimson-red gown with a glossy finish that flows beautifully around the figure, contrasted by a black bodice and a finely detailed patterned underskirt. Soft white lace-effect sleeves and shawl, accented with gentle pink highlights and a decorative bow at the neckline, add a touch of refinement. Her auburn curls, delicately painted facial features, and olive-green bonnet tied beneath her chin complete the figure with warmth and timeless elegance.
In fantastic condition for its age, with only light glaze crazing consistent with vintage Royal Doulton pieces. There are no significant chips, cracks, or repairs visible, making this a superb example for collectors or as a decorative statement piece.
