18" Premier GENISTA floor tom drum. COBALT BLUE. EXCELLENT condition. RARE size. Was a custom order...now impossible to get. But...one really annoying thing. 

There is a pro shop in town that is overpriced and super-arrogant (and they also like talking a lot of smack about my business) that poses as some sort of best-in-class operation when in fact the business has "jumped the shark" long ago and is now actually for sale. Anyway, the guy who runs it was asked to replace the Premier leg brackets when the originals got stripped, and rather than going the extra mile to get the right parts, he opted to use much cheaper, easier-to-source Tama leg brackets. Only problem is that the hole spacing is just SLIGHTLY different on Tama brackets, and so one of the screw holes on all three brackets placements was slightly enlarged to accommodate the tighter fit. You'd never notice, and even the customer that paid to have this "professional" work done was flabbergasted when I showed him what this chucklehead "pro" did after removeing the bracket (i had originals to replace and saw what was done). No wonder that pro shop is now for sale (and still hasn't sold BTW). Anyway, the Tama parts work well, but pretty disappointed that anyone would take a shortcut that saved maybe $50 to alter an otherwise rare and MINTY instrument. Total dooooooosh move if you ask me. If you ever get to that point of apathy in your career where you start thinking about doing things like this, it is time to hang it up as you have already quit. Anyway, still AWESOME, and still has a huge price tag since you'll likely never see one again.
